Energy work, and energy testing, are complimentary areas of holistic health that look to support the human energy field otherwise called the human biofield. Bioenergetic testing is one form of analysis that works with the whole body, looking for subtle cues or stressors that may be causing imbalance.
Let's dive deeper into some common questions below.
What is bioenergetic testing?
Bioenergetic testing is the action of measuring the body's unique energy. Everything around us has energy because it is matter. Matter is also energy.
Bioenergetic testing assesses the energy (frequencies) your body emits, drawing on principles of quantum physics. It takes a holistic approach that looks at your health and well-being on an energetic level contributing to these 4 pillars of wellness:
Physical
Emotional
Spiritual
Energetic
Our testing interprets the frequency measurements as stress within the energetic body. This stress can lead to imbalances that might impact nutrition, food sensitivities, emotions, or hormones. Conversely, a stress such as a toxin (gut bacteria, heavy metals) can impact the body systems, along with zapping minerals or changing the structure or function of an organ.
In simple terms, bioenergetic testing helps uncover the unseen stressors affecting the energetic body in an effort to restore balance.
What is the Human Energy Field, or Biofield?
The human energy field or biofield is an output of energy that is a "network that integrates the functions and systems within a living organism and connects them."
Think of this biofield as a bridge between the energetic and physical functions of the body. It is also an interface between the body, emotions and and the environment. This energy field goes beyond the body's physical presence.
The Human Biofield is always influenced by the environment, and in turn, can influence the physical body. It is a measurable measurable electromagnetic energy that plays a "critical role in maintaining health as do the more thoroughly studied chemical, biochemical, and bioelectrical phenomena" that Western health measures typically address.
Toxin vibrations cause a large negative impact on some people, but a small impact on others.
Why? Because our energetic field is as different as our genetics.

Is bioenergetic testing real?
Bioenergetics testing has garnered significant attention! Proponents of this approach to wellness tout it as revolutionary, while others claim bioresonance testing is a hoax. Bioenergetic testing has been met with skepticism and controversy within the scientific community despite its commitment and even observational evidence in achieving positive outcomes for clients and their health goals.
We need to remember that bioresonance testing is very different from Western medical tests. Western medical tests, such as blood panels, are important for health and diagnostic measures, but bioresonance testing is not a diagnostic tool.

However, many of your clients have already encountered testing that uses forms of energy in:
X-rays
MRIs
PET Scans
SPECT Scans
EEGs
Advocates of bioenergetic testing have seen the incredible information that offers a window into an individual’s holistic wellness that frequently aligns with their client’s results obtained from Western testing.
Naysayers say there is no way bioenergetic testing is real. This accusation could stem from the simple fact that bioenergetic testing lacks formal studies to prove its validity. There are many claims of inaccuracy in energy testing in general. Energy work or muscle testing is currently not well-studied. For studies to be carried out, there would need to be large-scale interest, funding, and investors to produce a long-term analysis of test subjects, along with tight controls to eliminate variables as best as possible.

There are always variables in research.
Long-term randomized controlled trials and peer-reviewed studies are lacking in many areas of holistic health, including bioenergetics and even herbal medicine.
FOR THE PRACTITIONER: We have been asked if CBH Energetics has conducted specific, controlled, and reviewed studies comparing our scans to other tests. An example would be our Brain Scan compared to neurological tests. To date, CBH Energetics has not performed formal studies. Company-produced papers and studies like these leave too much room for internal bias and would not seem genuine to our clients, in our opinion.
While many companies, including supplement companies, carry out third-party testing on products, these studies are criticized by peers and the public alike because they are conducted by the very companies that produce the products.
They are viewed as sales tactics and marketing strategies, not science. Validity might come into question when a company conducts its own studies. That is not to say that a company that spends money on research is trying to sway you. Many companies invest heavily in research to make sure they are offering a valid and tested product.
It’s just that research can be used both ways.
This is why we have not conducted our own studies on the testing itself or compared bioenergetics to other types of testing, like bloodwork.
Help your clients gather as much information as possible when they are considering any wellness test. Information, costs, and their own goals and experience, can help you help them make an informed decision!
Wellness seekers usually understand that merely the absence of disease is not wellness or a balanced and vital life. Vital living is associated with intentions, choices, and actions leading toward the persons own definition of an optimal state of well-being. Instead of surviving, they're thriving! Bioenergetics fits into wellness perfectly.

Think of bioenergetic testing as a system to balance body, mind, and emotions, through analysis and natural remedies. This gives the body information to release emotional or physical blocks on your clients journey to feeling optimal.

How do you measure my hair and saliva?
Every single thing in the world has a charge. That charge is measurable. Every bit of matter vibrates and has its own frequency. Whether that matter is mold, or a liver cell, it has its own energetic output.
If you think back to physics class for a moment, remember that electrons revolve around protons within an atom. There are different charges within the atom: positive, negative and neutral. With negative and neutral charges there is constant motion within the atom, as the electrons are in constant motion. Motion is key here.

This is called Kinetic energy, which is a constant vibrating state ... this allows us to measure that vibration (even though to the naked eye it is not moving). Everything holds a vibration. And this is measurable.
Specific areas of the body, hold their own vibrational patterns. The liver has a pattern, and your mitochondria in your cells has a pattern. Even music has patterns within sound! These vibrations affect cells, and energy when using practices like a Sound Bath.
Emotions also have a pattern and can effect your vibration! If you've ever been in the presence of an angry, or sad person, you will have experienced your own energy shift.
Once clients receive their wellness activation kit (easily shipped by us) they gather their hair and saliva samples, and send them back to our testing facility. Our expert technicians run the samples through our custom built testing equipment, analyzing the unique energetic signature that comes with every human being.
This is measured in hertz, as every cell emits a unique energy that can be measured and recorded. After the scan process is completed, the client gets a detailed report revealing their resonating stress levels, sensitivities, nutrition imbalances, toxins, hormones, and more, depending on the scan type. Your roadmap to a clients sessions (and specific supplementation) is built right into the test results!

Mminimal or low hertz readings represent weakness, while high hertz represents stress. The more imbalanced the hertz reading, the more stress! There are certain areas assessed during testing that represent 14 different body systems, along with organs like the liver, the thyroid, or the heart, etc.
We look for "perfect" balance at 50 Hz. This is indicated by a blue dial on a report, representing the stress within the organs system. The further away from 50 Hz, the stress level changes, changing the color dial to yellow, orange, red, and maroon, as the stress increases. Example: the liver energy at 80 hz is very stressed, at 30 hz it is considered weak, and at 50 Hz, balanced.
Seeing energetic stress in these organ systems ensures that practitioners don't work to clear toxins if the body can’t handle the detoxification process and needs more support first.

We take the idea of health analysis to another level, which is useful, when someone has tapped out so many other avenues, without answers.
"Everything is energy and that's all there is to it." - Albert Einstein
How new is bioenergetic testing?
The origins of bioenergetic testing date back to the 1940s when Dr. Reinhold Voll, a pioneering acupuncturist, made a groundbreaking discovery. He found that environmental factors—such as toxins, diet, and stress—could disrupt energy flow. Dr. Voll developed electroacupuncture (EAV), also called electrodermal testing, which measures the body’s energy pathways using specialized equipment.
After consulting with other doctors, Dr. Voll found that, in some cases, energy flow could be restored through certain lifestyle changes such as diet, supplements, homeopathy, and exercise. Dr. Voll’s innovations laid the foundation for modern bioenergetic testing, which has since evolved into a widely practiced method for assessing and supporting holistic health.
The concept of energy and the body runs through many cultures worldwide for hundreds of years. These cultures have understood the body as more than just physical—it’s a dynamic flow of energy through pathways. Here are some examples:
Reiki: Japanese. A practice that channels universal energy to promote healing.
Qi Gong: China. Combines movement, meditation, and breathing techniques to balance the flow of Qi (life force).
Shamanic healing: Indigenous people.Focuses on spiritual energy and connection with nature for restoration.
Healing touch: North American. Uses gentle touch to realign the body’s energy fields. Traditional Chinese Medicine: China. Examines meridian systems to balance Qi through acupuncture, herbal remedies, and more.
Ayurveda: India. Works with the body’s three doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—to harmonize energy through diet, lifestyle, and plant-based medicine.
Energy work is not new. Bioenergetics is not new,. The understanding of the process is growing. And we're here to grow with you.
